What a jam-packed couple of weeks it has been. Between visiting with friends, visiting with family, and squaring away everything for this New York tour, it has been quite a busy time. After my last final, my family and I drove up to South Dakota for my sister's graduation, where we spent about three days or so. After returning to the Springs from South Dakota, I drove back down to Alamosa to see some friends, meet up with family, and finish my album.
GOODNESS that album was QUITE the process. Between uploading the audio to CD Baby, to trying to create album art, that was a four-day process accompanied by one serious headache. Last week, though, I was able to finish it up and get it shipped off to be completed. When all was said and done, there was this amazing, magical feeling of accomplishment. Although there are a couple things that I wish I would have done differently, it is in a place where I feel like it can be heard publicly. (There is this one chord though, in the last song, the LAST song, that I completely BOTCHED. Yeah, it's obvious, so enjoy it. Sure, people say, "Don't be down on yourself. They probably won't even notice!" But no, y'all will notice. And I get to let you know before you hear it first and are all surprised. Ha. Beat you to it.
If you visit my YouTube channel or my Facebook page you will find the dates and venues of my performances. I will also be posting weekly/bi-weekly update videos!
Currently, I am sitting at gate C-25, waiting for the plane to board. Destination? New York.
Here we go!
